Frequently Asked Questions

How many vulnerabilities can I monitor?

Vulnmon supports tracking vulnerabilities based on CPEs. You can monitor multiple CPEs, each of which is continuously checked for new or removed CVEs. To view your current monitoring capacity, please visit the Shodan Developer dashboard.

Do I need to submit scans?

No, Vulnmon automatically monitors the Shodan CVEDB for any changes related to your CPEs. If a new CVE is added or an existing one is removed, you’ll be notified immediately. To add or manage your CPEs, visit the Manage Assets page.

Can I access the raw CVE data from my program?

Yes, Vulnmon stores the CVE data directly in the CPE record you monitor. You can programmatically retrieve and analyze the CVE data for each CPE you're tracking, including detailed information about each vulnerability.
